Clinical supervision with us is an intentional, developmental journey into who you are becoming as a therapist, not just a box you check on the way to licensure. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Qualified Supervisor in Florida, we support registered interns in counseling and marriage and family therapy who want to practice in ways that are both clinically strong and socially aware.
From our first meeting, we focus on your growth edges, your gifts, and the communities you feel called to serve. Many of our supervisees work with trauma survivors, Women of Color, or high-functioning clients who carry complex histories. Together, we look at how power, race, gender, and culture shape the therapy room, and how to hold those dynamics with humility and skill. Using a developmental approach, we meet you where you are. Early on, that might look like help structuring sessions, managing anxiety about "doing it right," or navigating mandated reporting. As you grow, supervision might focus more on refining your theoretical lens, deepening somatic awareness, integrating Internal Family Systems or narrative work, and sustaining yourself in the field without burning out.
We review clinical notes, discuss ethical decision-making, and prepare you for licensure exams such as the NCMHCE or AMFTRB with practical guidance, not just test tips. You can expect honest feedback offered with care, space to process your own countertransference, and support in building a professional identity that feels congruent with your values.
Sessions are available via secure telehealth or in a private office, which allows supervisees from across the state, as well as those local to Gainesville, to participate. If you are seeking a supervisor who understands trauma, culture, and the realities of this work, we would be glad to walk alongside you as you step fully into your role as a licensed clinician.
